Daniel DayanChief Executive Officer
Daniel is a proven industrial chief executive, with 30 years of experience in a wide range of global manufacturing businesses. He graduated in Engineering from Cambridge and worked for ICI plc in plant operations. He spent several years with Arthur D. Little specializing in strategic assignments for chemical and materials majors. Daniel then moved for 12 years to Novar plc undertaking a range of corporate development and global management roles, including significant M&A and 4 years in Germany as a Board member of a listed German subsidiary. Daniel then took responsibility for the turnaround of Novar’s largest division – Intelligent Building Systems, a £600m global business with leading positions in electrical and electronic systems for buildings. He was appointed CEO of Fiberweb plc 2005-2013, a £500m leader in nonwoven fabrics, leading it through a turnaround, a £120m capital investment programme, demerger and independent listing on the LSE and a strategic repositioning through significant M&A, culminating in its successful sale to Polymer Group Inc. in 2013. Daniel then joined LINPAC, a leading European fresh food packaging supplier, driving a significant improvement in growth and profitability and leading its successful sale to Klöckner Pentaplast in 2017. He was appointed CEO of the €2bn Klöckner Pentaplast Group in November 2017.
R. Brent JonesChief Financial Officer
R. Brent Jones has been the Chief Financial Officer of the Klöckner Pentaplast Group since April 2016. He has broad experience as a financial executive with specific strengths in the chemical industry. Prior to joining Klöckner Pentaplast, he served as interim CFO at Pall Corporation. At Pall Corporation, Brent advanced through several senior finance leadership roles of increasing responsibility in the areas of Treasury, Investor Relations, Financial Planning and Analysis and Corporate Development. Prior to this, Brent was a Managing Director in investment banking at Bank of America Merrill Lynch.
Marc SetzenChief Engineering Officer
Marc Setzen has been the Chief Engineering Officer of the Klöckner Pentaplast Group and will provide strategic direction on industry technology trends Klöckner Pentaplast should follow. He has served as CTO (responsible for Production, Supply Chain, Lean, Quality, Safety, Technology & Innovation) and as a member of the management board from May 2014 to March 2016. Before joining Klöckner Pentaplast in 2011 as Vice President Operations Europe & Asia, he served nkt cables as Senior Vice President, Sales & Marketing Central Europe, with full P&L responsibility for 9 countries. From 2003-2007, he was Managing Director, Engineered Materials Europe, at Polyone International, responsible for Operations and R&D for the Engineered Material Business Unit prior to his engagement with the interior Automotive Supplier IAC Group as General Plant Manager, where he was heading Operations, Supply Chain, Industrialization, and Operational Excellence for the South German Interior Sites (2007-2010). He started his career in 1997 at Hutchinson Sealing Systems (part of TotalFinaElf) where he held various positions in production, innovation and research, before being responsible for Material and Process R&D Europe and global technology transfer.
