What’s fun about my role?
It’s just so varied! Being so customer focused involves selling, thinking about existing technologies, working closely with Innovation, partnering with kp procurement teams to source raw materials and working with regulatory frameworks. I pull together all these different areas of kp expertise to bring a customer’s idea to life and ultimately show them that kp can provide the solution they are looking for.
Career defining moments
I’ve been with kp for over 30 years. That’s a long, long time! I’ve had many moments that felt like my own version of delivering a baby. From building a new site like the one in Brazil, to being heavily involved in the acquisition of the Argentina site - so much growth means having the honour of working with many different people from different backgrounds.
What stands out the most is building the kp i.center in 2015. I pitched the idea to the CEO, we got the go ahead … and we made it happen! Building the first open, collaborative R&D centre that truly differentiates us in the market is a personal highlight.
Not many people know that…
I’m an eagle scout. I’m a big believer in serving the community. I get involved in education and helping everyone out. It’s all about identifying how to support someone even before they realise they need that help. I’m pretty driven by action and getting things done!
