Pentamed® specialty rigid films are designed for medical device packs that need enhanced forming, barrier or sealing performance. The range includes GAG-PET, PETG/PCTFE barrier structures and Pentamed® kpSealable® films for use with uncoated nonwoven HDPE lidding.
Use GAG-PET where improved thermoforming is required, PETG/PCTFE where moisture and gas barrier protection is needed, and kpSealable® where a built-in sealing layer can simplify the lidding structure and reduce conversion costs.

kpSealable

Pentamed® kpSealable®

kpSealable® is a laminated APET or PETG film with an integrated sealing layer. It seals reliably to uncoated nonwoven HDPE lidstock, eliminating the need for a separately applied sealing lacquer.

PETG/PCTFE is used for thermoformed medical device packs that require enhanced moisture and gas barrier protection.
kpSealable® is a laminated APET or PETG medical packaging film with an integrated sealing layer for use with uncoated nonwoven HDPE lidding.
kp states that kpSealable® can process on existing equipment without changing the package design. Validation is recommended for the selected film, lidding and sealing conditions.
Its integrated sealing layer removes the need for lacquer-coated lidding, reducing the conversion cost associated with coating nonwoven HDPE lid stock.
