In a world where careers often span multiple companies and industries, true loyalty stands out. Which is why we’re honoured that 450 colleagues have chosen to stay at kp for 30 years or more. Long service is more than just a number - it’s a story of resilience, shared ambition, and being part of something bigger than oneself.

Celebrating long service milestones

With kp celebrating its 60th anniversary this year, it is a fitting time to reflect on those who’ve been with us for a long time. We’ve always known we have a loyal and experienced workforce - but looking at our business across the globe, we’re really proud that 450 colleagues have been with kp for at least half of our company’s history.

Across our Food Packaging and Pharmaceuticals, Health and Protection and Durables divisions, these individuals have not only witnessed kp’s evolution – they’ve helped shape it!

Here’s a closer look at the numbers:
  • 241 colleagues have been with kp over 30 years
  • 154 have reached the 35-40 year mark
  • 50 have served between 40-45 years
  • 5 have exceeded 45 years – with two more joining them later this year.

Across our global sites, these individuals are shining examples of what it means to grow with purpose, to lead with integrity, and to build something lasting.
“It’s humbling to know so many of our employees began their careers with us and continue to grow and develop at kp. We’re committed to creating a workplace where people can thrive and continually provide opportunities for development, learning and progression. Having such high numbers of long serving people across our sites globally is a testament to this pledge.

Contributing to kp’s evolution

From our beginnings in 1965 in Montabaur, Germany, kp has changed significantly – driven by our ambition, our capacity to innovate and the collective strength of our people. We’ve expanded across continents, launched industry-leading products and embraced change. From creating kpAmericas in 1977, to acquiring LINPAC in 2017, our teams have pulled together to ensure these transitions have made us stronger.

Today, we have almost 5,500 colleagues working across 30 sites in 18 countries. It’s inspiring to know that nearly every site includes employees who’ve been with us for three decades or more - and that these individuals continue to share their skills and knowledge across the business daily.

What’s equally powerful is how many of them also mentor the next generation. The advice, insights and friendly introductions they provide to new starters are invaluable and set the tone for kp’s inclusive and supportive culture.

“Our team is the driving force behind kp’s success. As we celebrate the long service and loyalty of so many, I also want to acknowledge the hard work and passion that I know sits behind these numbers.

A company united by a shared culture

At kp, our supportive culture guides everything we do. It inspires our teams and encourages a spirit of resilience, innovation and collaboration. As a result, we’re a leading company in our sector, providing solutions and support to our customers and playing a key part in the communities around us.

Our teams are at the heart of our businesses. We invest in our people – in their training and wellbeing, and in healthy and safe working environments. We believe our approach to ensuring people are supported, can progress and are valued is a fundamental reason why people choose to stay at kp; in 2024 alone, we saw 32% of internal candidates promoted into roles at manager level or above.

Recent employee feedback has also directly shaped key initiatives, including our:
  • Global Employee Assistance Programme, providing employees and their families with access to complimentary mental health counselling, along with additional wellbeing support and resources.
  • Flexible approach to working and holiday arrangements, as we acknowledge that achieving a positive work-life balance is vital for everyone.
  • Working rotas, which strive to offer more predictable shift patterns to our deskless employees to provide stability and reduce the stress associated with irregular work hours.
  • Feedback Fortnight, to support our ongoing performance review process, and encourage open and continuous feedback and conversations.

We’re proud to celebrate our long-serving colleagues – individuals whose talent and loyalty have helped shape our company into what it is today.

As we look back on 60 years of innovation, growth and resilience, we also look forward. Whether your kp story spans 30 years or began just three months ago, your journey matters – and we’re honoured to share it with you.

Here’s to our people. To 60 years of progress. And to continuing to drive kp forward together into the future!
