Klöckner Pentaplast bring fresh take to Protein Packaging at the 2019 Annual Meat Conference in Dallas
Gordonsville, VA – March, 2019 – Klöckner Pentaplast
Food & Consumer Products (kp FCP) will be attending the Annual Meat
Conference 2019 in Dallas, TX to exhibit fresh packaging solutions made
for the protein market. The focus will be on the new Evolve S VSP
(Vacuum Skin Packaging) and the Elite® recyclable MAP (Modified
Atmosphere Packaging) which offer unique opportunities for retailers and
brand owners.
In addition to the increased shelf life that VSP packaging provides,
Evolve S is made from up to 95% recycled post-consumer PET content
which offers a sustainability benefit that customers are looking for in
today’s retail environment. Evolve S also offers a significant
improvement in vacuum skinning cycle times over standard VSP trays and
was designed for rPET or PET applications incorporating a peelable top
film.
The Elite protein tray and film is also made from up to 95%
post-consumer PET recyclate and is fully recyclable allowing it to be
used for food grade packaging again. Retailers can expect high clarity
for improved presentation with maximum strength and minimum weight as
well as excellent shelf life. The LINtop HSF/LSF Lidding Film for the
Elite tray securely seals at high speeds and allows full color printing
with high anti fog properties.
