Klöckner Pentaplast (kp), a world leader in plastic packaging, will showcase their solutions for fresh protein with the Elite and Evolve trays from the kp Food & Consumer Products division at Pack Expo International 2018.
Using up to 100% recycled PET to make fresh protein trays, their Elite solution is fully recyclable and can be further regenerated into packaging or other recycled plastic items, meeting consumer demand for increased sustainability in packaging. Justin Glass, kp’s Commercial Director elaborates, “Imagine being able to reduce plastic waste from ending up in the oceans and instead turning it into food safe trays that can again be recycled.”
kp’s fresh protein line-up also includes Evolve, a vacuum skin tray packaging solution, which uses up to 97% post-consumer recycled (PCR) content and can increase shelf life and preserves taste and texture. Evolve offers a versatile and compact footprint for easy single packing and hanging tabs for vertical display options.
Find kp FCP at booth N-5225 at Pack Expo in Chicago, offering a full portfolio of packaging solutions for food and consumer products. There will also be a live demonstration of the sealing capability in the booth. kp experts will also be on hand to discuss trends and create solutions for food packaging for a sustainable economy.
Today’s food and consumer value chain is evolving as consumers look for more from food packaging.
Maurizio Carano, kp’s Product Marketing Director, will be presenting on the Innovation Stage Sunday, October 14 at 4:00 PM and speaking about the misconceptions surrounding plastics and how we can create a closed loop circular economy helping to protect our planet for future generations. He will demonstrate how kp designs for innovative packaging solutions that can help reduce food waste, meet the ever-growing needs of the consumer and provide the convenience we need in today’s complex supply chains.
From extending shelf life of a product for retailers, to offering 100% sustainable packaging to consumers, kp can improve each stage of the value chain.
